Drone Scotland continue partnership with Uddingston Hockey Club

Drone Scotland are delighted to announce we will be continuing our partnership with Uddingston Hockey Club in 2023-2024.

In August 2022 we launched the Drone Scotland In-schools hockey programme – an initiative to help get kids active by introducing primary school children to Hockey.Through our partnership we reached over 2000 local school children in South Lanarkshire. The initiative helped paid for 2 full-time hockey coaches to attend local primary schools and provide hockey coaching. The coaches also provided training to Teachers to allow them to continue to support the children.

But the most exciting part for the kids was getting the opportunity to take part in the “Festival of Hockey”. A full day out of school, transported to Uddingston Hockey Club where they could test out their new hockey skills.

In 2023-2024 the Drone Scotland Uddingston Hockey Club In-Schools programmme will continue to run, working with local schools to help get kids active, have fun, and enjoy Hockey!

“At Drone Scotland we believe it’s important to give back to your local community and began looking at community partnerships in 2022. We’ve always been very impressed with the vision and ambition of Uddingston Hockey Club. They’ve created something very special and unique for the local community here in Uddingston – not to mention now hosting international matches. We share similar values and therefore a partnership seemed like a perfect opportunity.”
