Similar to the M2P, the DJI Phantom 4 Pro is an established multimedia UAV and, thanks to it’s mechanical shutter, is also a decent low altitude photogrammetry drone. Equipped with a 1″ 20MP CMOS sensor, the P4P can pick up stunning detail in both video and still imagery. The P4P is the only drone in our fleet that can shoot 4K at 60FPS.
Normally used as a backup drone to our M2P (multimedia) and backup to our P4RTK (photogrammetry). As in all industries, it’s important to have backup equipment. The P4P therefore performs an important role as a substitute. The beauty of this backup drone as it doesn’t result in a deterioration of the deliverables. The sensor on the P4P is every bit as effective as the M2P and P4 RTK but, we feel, the workflow is longer hence we keep this dual purpose drone as a key piece of redundancy kit.
At Drone Scotland we use the DJI Phantom 4 Pro as a backup drone. As our equipment has grown and upgraded over the years there are other more effective drones in our portfolio such as the P4RTK and the DJI M300.
